Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Medical College had been established at Ahmednagar in 2004 under the great leadership of Late Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil (Padmabhushan Awardee). Presently institute has world-class infrastructure and providing high-quality medical education to students with the constant guidance and support of Hon. Namdar  Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Chairman, Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation, Ahmednagar and Hon. Dr. Sujay Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, CEO, Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation, Ahmednagar. The institute is recognized by Medical Council of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. 
Our Paediatric Department runs speciality O.P.D.s in Nephrology, Haematology, Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Paediatric Surgery, Asthma Clinic, Under 5 Clinic, Well Baby Clinic, High-risk Clinic, Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) Clinic, Adolescence Clinic and Immunization programmes. We also arrange health camps for schools, various charitable trusts and underprivileged sections of society.
I.P.D. services: - We run a 120 bedded ward with 4 units with an average of 5500 admissions every year which meets the needs of sick children primarily from rural areas and thus serving as a point of care for all classes of society with affordable services. Our department also provides neurological rehabilitation services and treatment for various malignancies.
Our 15 bedded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) serves as a Centre for complete care from routine to Tertiary Care Unit for premature, sick neonatal as well as surgical cases with CPAP and mechanical ventilation services.
Our 15 bedded Paediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU) serves as a Centre for critical care for all emergencies and paediatric illnesses and postoperative care after various surgical procedures needing monitoring and treatment.
To provide free services we are having schemes like Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Janarogya  Yojana and Indigent Patient Fund and Pradhanmantri Janarogya Yojana.
We conduct the following procedures in N.I.C.U., P.I.C.U. & Ward: 
1.Surfactant delivery by INSURE technique
2.Peripherally inserted central line catheter
3.Umbilical catheterisation
4.Lumbar puncture
5.Bone marrow aspiration 
6.Partial exchange
7.Intercostal Drainage tube
8.Liver Biopsy
