Placement Cell

The Placement and Career Guidance Cell is established in alignment with the recommendations of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), National Medical Commission (NMC), and the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to support students in their professional growth and career advancement.

The Cell serves as a dedicated platform for career counselling, professional development, higher education guidance, and employability enhancement. It organizes career orientation programmes, postgraduate entrance examination guidance sessions, soft skills and communication workshops, personality development programmes, interview preparation sessions, research career guidance, and interactions with alumni and healthcare experts.

The Cell provides information and mentorship regarding postgraduate medical education, super-specialty training, fellowships, research opportunities, public health careers, healthcare management, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities in healthcare institutions, academia, research organizations, and government sectors. Students are also guided regarding competitive examinations, scholarships, national and international academic opportunities, and professional licensing pathways.

In line with NMC's emphasis on competency-based education and professionalism, the Cell focuses on developing leadership qualities, ethical values, communication skills, critical thinking, and lifelong learning competencies. Through its comprehensive support system, the Placement and Career Guidance Cell facilitates a smooth transition from academic training to professional practice and contributes to the development of competent, confident, and socially accountable healthcare professionals.
