Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Medical College had been established at Ahilyanagar in 2004 under the great leadership of Late Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil (Padmabhushan Awardee). Presently institute has world class infrastructure and providing high quality medical education to students with the constant guidance and support of Hon. Namdar Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil ,Chairman, Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation, Ahilyanagar and Hon. Dr. Sujay Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, CEO, Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation, Ahilyanagar. The institute is recognized by Medical Council of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. The department of Orthopaedics was started in the year 2004. The department has been gradually upgraded to present status by experienced faculty. First undergraduate batch in 2004 had a capacity of 100 seats and now it is 200 seats.
“Orthopaedics Surgery” is a discipline of surgery that is concerned with the axial and appendicular skeleton and its related structures. There are various subspecialties or subdivisions including fractures, arthritis and soft tissue processes, tumors, and metabolic conditions, congenital and acquired conditions. A medical student rotation exposes one to various aspects of Orthopaedics Surgery. This rotation should provide a variety of experiences ranging from operative, office and clinical practice and emergency room experience. Orthopedic is concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

This survey is designed to detect Bone Mass Density (B.M.D.) in all the Medical students, physiotherapist and all hospital staff.
5)“Medical on Wheels ”A saw bone Workshop on knee arthroplasty arranged by Orthopaedics Department in 03-01-2020 to 04-01-2020 under the guidance of Dr. Nitin Bhalerao
