Internal Complaint Committee
Introduction
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The Committee is committed to providing a safe, secure, inclusive, and gender-sensitive environment for all students, faculty members, staff, residents, and other stakeholders of the institution.
Objectives
- Prevent sexual harassment at the workplace and within the campus.
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and equality.
- Provide a confidential and impartial mechanism for grievance redressal.
- Ensure timely inquiry and resolution of complaints.
- Create awareness regarding prevention of sexual harassment and gender sensitization.
Functions
- Receive and acknowledge complaints related to sexual harassment.
- Conduct fair, impartial, and confidential inquiries.
- Recommend appropriate action to the competent authority.
- Provide assistance and support to aggrieved individuals.
- Organize awareness programs, workshops, and gender-sensitization activities.
- Maintain records of complaints, inquiries, and actions taken.
- Submit annual reports to the competent authorities as required.
Meetings
The Committee shall meet periodically and whenever a complaint is received to ensure prompt redressal and compliance with statutory requirements.
